WAYS TO SERVE
SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER
Lead lessons Sunday morning that help children preK - 2nd grade and 3rd - 5th grade learn God’s Word through Bible stories, activities, and meaningful discussion. This role is for those who enjoy teaching and encouraging kids.
SUNDAY SCHOOL ASSISTANT
Helpers assist teachers by supporting activities, crafts, games, and classroom management. This is a great way to care for children, build relationships, and make the classroom run smoothly.
Junior Helpers (Ages 15–18) can serve alongside adult leaders by helping with crafts, games, and classroom activities, gaining leadership experience while making a positive impact.

NURSERY VOLUNTEER
Care for our youngest children (6 weeks - 3 years old) by providing a safe, loving, and nurturing environment during Sunday's service.
Nursery Helpers (Ages 15–18) assist adult volunteers with playtime, snacks, and caring for babies and toddlers, learning responsibility while serving with joy.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY CHECK-IN
Welcomes families, assists new visitors with registration, and ensures kids are safely checked in their classrooms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys greeting people with a smile and making families feel at home.
MEDIA
Help our congregation worship by running the lyrics on the big screen!
SOUND
If you have an ear for mixing bands and vocalists, the media team needs you!
VIDEO
We live-stream our service online every Sunday at 10am. You don't need to be an expert videographer to master the video camera.
BAND/VOCALS
We're always looking for vocalist and band members to join the team!
USHER
Serve one Sunday a month to welcome people into the sanctuary, hand out announcements, and direct people to open seats as the sanctuary fills. They stand at the back during the service to let people in and out as needed and help in the event of an emergency.
GREETER
If you enjoy smiling and offering a handshake or verbal welcome to people, this volunteer position is for you! Our greeters serve one Sunday a month and provide a positive first impression of Bridgewood as people enter our building.
PANERA PICK UP
Each Saturday evening, one of our volunteers picks up donated bread and treats from Panera in Burnsville and drops them off at Bridgewood. This is a once a month commitment. Side benefit: you may get to sneak a treat before everyone else!
KITCHEN TREATS
Sunday morning Panera treats is a must at Bridgewood and our kitchen volunteers make it happen! One Sunday a month this volunteer slices bagels and arranges treats on serving dishes before the service. They work with our volunteer "baristas" to clean up after the service as well.
PRAYER MINISTRY
If you have a heart for prayer and long to see others transformed by the Holy Spirit, this team might be for you. Members of this team are trained and serve on Sunday mornings to those who want prayer after the service. They also participate in prayer appointments.
CLEANING TEAM
These behind the scenes volunteer teams keep our church looking its best. This is a once a month commitment and each team consists of several people.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT KITCHEN HELP
Bridgewood offers a free meal before our Wednesday night classes in the fall, winter, and spring. Since we serve 80+ people, we need a team to make this happen. If you are interested in serving meals or helping with clean up, we would love to have you join our team.
MARKETING TEAM
This team is responsible for marketing Bridgewood overall, as well as developing marketing strategies for specific events (e.g., annual Christmas concert). This team meets approximately every other month.
SPECIAL EVENTS COORDINATOR
This is a new team in the making and will be responsible for working with staff and the marketing team to implement special events at church.
TREEHOUSE
Every Tuesday night, middle school and high school teens from the area gather at Bridgewood for structured support led by a highly successful national outreach called TreeHouse. Volunteer opportunities include helping with meals or leading a small group (training provided).
THE WATERS SENIOR LIVING
Every Sunday, volunteers from Bridgewood provide a worship service for residents at The Waters senior living center just down the road . If you enjoy spending time with the elderly, you can volunteer to help with the service or connect through other avenues during the week.
